Parents

As a small community club we are dependant on the ongoing support of parents, coaches and senior athletes to help on training nights, at club events and with various administrative duties.

We are always very keen to recruit more parents to help fill our various vacancies.

The roles vary in commitment levels from once a year to once per week. The list below highlights the various ways in which you can get involved:

Committee Members Attend committee meetings, either as an administrator or an ordinary member, and help influence how the club is run. Commitment: One hour every six weeks to attend committee meetings.
Administrators Roles include as club secretary, treasurer, membership secretary, child welfare officers and disclosure officer. Commitment: One hour every six weeks to attend committee meetings, plus a few hours per month for the admin duties.
Team Managers & Assistants Help organise and support our teams and athletes in league competitions. Commitment: ˝ day at three or four matches in a league, plus a couple of hours of administration duties prior to each league match.
Club Desk As part of a rota, on Wednesday evenings in pairs you’d complete the attendance register, hand out letters and collect return slips/fees.
Coaching The club will fund all training costs for members who would like to get involved in coaching. Start as a coaching assistant and then progress through the ranks! Commitment: Two hours on a Wednesday night, at least every second week if not weekly.
Officiating The sport needs and can't operate without officials. Both graded officials and parent helpers required. The club will fund training costs for any member who would like to become a graded official. Commitment: at least one league match during the year.
Catering Coordination of all food and drink requirements for the annual club championships. Commitment: once per year.
Social Convener Help organise and publicise club social events and activities. No need to attend the club each week.
Press Officer Report to local papers and the club website about performance at competitions throughout the year.
Funding Champion Investigate ways to finance the clubs activities, including sponsorship, fundraising and grants.
